Xavier Rudd April 19 2003 SHN show disappeared! |
I was happily downloading this show on my dial-up connection. I left it to do its thing overnight, and things were still going fine with six tracks successfully in. After pausing track 7 to do something else, I hit "resume" and track 7 and all the rest were broken. My attempt to check the download page at
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=15270 there was this message: "There is no matching concert in the database". Where has it disappeared to? I would download the FLAC version of this show if my OS9 Mac could extract the files, but as far as I know there is no software available.
Will this show reappear? Any help would be appreciated.

WHen you go to a page and it says 'this concert is no longer in our database' that means the details page was deleted by an administrator. this usually occurs when the uploader messes up and needs to start again, or if a superior, less degraded source of the same source appears. Finchy's (the one above) was a non-digital audio extraction (DAE) copy of the show, while the one you were downloading was the recording fromt he same source, but extracted from an audio cd before loss-less files were made. Since the superior, less degraded source was put up on the archive, the inferiour version was removed. So there you go! party on, and there is another show of his to download as well, from later in that year i believe.
